School

The vacations are just about over and school is going to start soon. And I'm happy, not sad that the vacations are over.
Why?
Because its boring being at home doing nothing at all. School will come as a nice change, I'm sure to this boring schedule that I'm following now.
Its not that I dont enjoy vacations and being at home. I felt great when the holidays started, I had a great time, but now I'm just sick of it. I want to do something constructive or at least something to kill time not just sit around and wait for it to pass. I want to keep myself occupied, one way or the other.
Going to school means meating friends, having fun, enjoying, socializing, possibly a bit of studying, and Exun. Aah, Exun!! The contests, the fun, the work, its just amazing. Thats what I miss most about school and its the only thing that stopped me from joining DPS VK, which is by far my favourite school (I'm not a traitor people, but its just impossible not to like that place).

Being in Exun is an amazing feeling. Its just amazing. Exun has influenced me alot and changed my perspective on life too a great extent. And when I remember that I have only 1 year and 6 months of Exun left, I just feel an empty space inside me.
Thats all that I had to say for now.

The Return

I have returned from Rishikesh. And I have a few things.
The Water is Cold
The water of the holy Ganges is cold, take my word for it. While rafting, I had more than a few drops of water sprinkled on me, and "I felt the chill", so to speak.
Rafting is Amazing
Rafting is amazing, yes I tried for the first time. The kick, the rush, the high or whatever you call it is amazing.
Paragliding is better
It lasts a short while, about 3 minutes, but its amazing. The views are breathtaking from up there, and just the sensation of being above the ground is sensational.
Water Skiing is good too
Rather decent.
NOTE: I AM NOT AN ADRENALINE JUNKIE

The Geek Question
Who or what is a geek?
You'd normally thinks its that nerdy kinda person you meet, but if you check a dictionary, like I did, this is one of the definitions that you get:-
A carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken.
Rather cool, isnt it? Think twice before calling someone a geek!

Discovering Punjab

The reason I haven't been posting for some time now is that I was discovering Punjab. Yes, I was discovering Punjab. I didnt set off on an expedition to trample through the Punjabi country-side, I just went to Punjab for a week to attend a wedding of some weird cousin of mine, of whose existence I had no idea at all, till a week and a half ago. In the process I discovered Punjab, as I've never been there before, and it just so happens that I'm Punjabi.
The first thing that struck me (not like a bolt of lightning) was that everyone, without exception, was speaking in Punjabi.
T
The second thing that I noticed was the huge number of relatives that I have. Its unbelievable the number of cousins, aunts and uncles I have. Shocking. And I dont even know their names and how they're related to me.
The third thing that I noticed was that they all new me. All of them would go like "Dhruv nu vekh... kinna vadda ho gaya" (Look at Dhruv...he's grown up) or "Arun dey puttar nu vekh".
And the hospitatality is unparalleled in Punjab. Wherever you go these people offer you a lassi, milk, chai and stuff to eat. But they speak to you in Punjabi.
Then the laughter. AT ANY gathering of Punjabis, there will always be laughter. Its a rule. And exceedingly laugh, not discreet in any way. When Punjabis laugh, they want the world to know that they're laughing.
A memorable trip for me, a discovery of my so-called "true home". But I missed one thing: I wanted to visit Kasur, which is accross the border, and that where my agnate grand father hails from. Thats the place I would've been born if the famous partition had not been.
