Recent Developments

Long time, no post, so I decided to post. Some recent developments:-
1. A pigeon has acquired real estate in my neighbourhood, in the form of the upper surface of my Air Conditioner, with the effect that I'm experience cluck-clucking when I'm awake. And the sound by it's feet reminds me of a an army wearing hob-nailed boots marching on a tin bridge. Very disturbing.
2. The girl upstairs has started skating. And she skates ALL THE TIME. Skates ti breakfast, to lunch, to study, even dans la salle de bains. And the worst part is, I hear it, and ALL THE TIME.
3. All my neighbours have taken it upon themselves to get married right now. Suddenly, they've been possesed by this urge to get married and produces noises like never before. And dance like injured rabbits.
And with all this going on, I'm supposed to study for my Social Studies Board Exam. It's dynamite. Social Studies, in my opinion, should be banned by an act of Parliament. We have the right to seek constitutional remedy, and now I seek it! Ban this godforsaken subject. What makes it worse is the language used in the NCERT with phrases like "Suppose we have RS. 5 with us and we require many things. We like to buy a chocolate, a pen and a pencil box" or "The CBWE, formed in 1958, is doing significant work by creating understanding and enthusiasm among workers for the success of industrial growth". And we're supposed to memorize this bilge word by word.
Enough of complaining, I must be getting back to SSt.

The Shuffle: Not a good thing

I've received an iPod Shuffle from my uncle, as a "surprise" gift. Normally, this would be a good thing. But it isn't. That's because this darned thing has foiled my plans of buying a 20 Gb iPod. The real one.
The story was as follows:-
I talked to my parents. Both agreed I could buy an iPod after my boards. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, like a terrible fish, appears this iPod Shuffle.
SO, I can't possibly ask for an iPod without getting the retort "WHAT! You want two iPods?"
But the fact is that I didn't want a shuffle for obvious reasons (Small storage capacity and no display). But it's ruined, ruined. ('it' refers to my plans of buying an iPod, in case you were wondering)
Such is life.

Poetry

I have nothing to do these days. Absolutely nothing. Surprising, as it may seem, but it's true. In fact, I'm in such a wierd state, that I woke up last night and wrote this disastrous poem, if you can call it that.

I want to sing, said I to them,
You'll fail, said they to me.
I want to write, said I to them,
You'll be a bore, said they to me.
I want to paint, said I to them,
You'll but fail, said they to me.
It was never meant to be,
what I meant myself to be.

I want to be free, said I to them,
You'll end up in a cell, said they to me.
I want to climb a hill, said I to them,
You'll break a leg, said they to me.
I want to jump, said I to them,
You'll crack your skull, said they to me.
It was never meant to be,
what I meant myself to be.

Do this or that, you'll fail at both, said they to me
Don't eat our heads, do what thou dost best.
But lads, what do I best?

In fact, it's so pathetic that I've started to pity myself, my imagination and overall condition of life. The season is such, maybe, when there' supposed to be spring and love in the air, but I only get a whiff of the darned boards.
But, surprisingly, I still am bored, and have a lot of time on my hands. Hence this poem. Hence this blog entry.
So, then, this all for now.
Dhruv Kumar says good bye.

I Return

Finally, I am making a come back, a return of sorts to the world of blogging, after an unbelievably long absence. Reasons for my absence:
-Non-working internet connection
-Stupid customer service
-Pre-boards
-Laziness
That's about it.
